Requirements

Registered Nurse with a current and valid Annual Practice Certificate (APC) from Malaysian Nursing Board.
Possess Post Basic Certification/Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of working experience as Staff Nurse.
Valid Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
Able to provide high quality patient care in various disciplines when performing clinical procedures.
Able to maintain confidentiality in handling patients’ health information.

Requirements

Must be a Malaysian citizen
Age range: 18 - 30 years old
SPM/O - level qualification with a minimum of 5 credits in BM, BI, Science, Math, and one additional subject (for the Diploma Program)
UEC candidates who have completed their SPM are encouraged to apply
Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English (proficiency in other languages is advantageous)

General Responsibility

The Staff Midwife is a member of unit/ nursing team who is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care in collaboration with other members of health care providers to ensure high nursing standards of clinical knowledge and practice.
To provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery of the baby.
To be responsible for making sure that the medical as well as the emotional needs of the client and family are adequately met.
To be responsible for the smooth running of the unit.
To ensure the implementation of safe nursing care via on going supervision and involvement in administrative duties.
Demonstrate leadership and management skills via coaching of staff, orientation of new staff with an emphasis on team spirit.
To ensure and have a good working knowledge of all statutory requirements of the Nursing Board of Malaysia and any other legislation related to her/his work.
To provide comprehensive care to the wholly compensatory patients and their dependents.
To monitor patients closely and be able to recognize & alert patient’s change of condition at all times.
To ensure staff are competent in dealing with an emergency situation.
To make sure proper and appropriate hand hygiene and International Patient Safety Goals practices done in Labor and Delivery(L&D) &
Obstetrics and Gynecology Unit(O&G).
To carry out other duties as assigned from time to time by Nursing Supervisor / HODs.

Requirements

General Responsibility

Assists the pharmacist in preparing, labeling and dispensing medications for patients in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions.
Assists the pharmacist in ensuring proper documentation and record keeping is done for all medications.
Assists the pharmacist in ensuring that appropriate medications are available for patients and properly procured, prepared, stored and maintained.
Reviews completed prescription orders for proper identification and coding, including signature of authorizing physician.
Assists the pharmacist in unit dose preparation prepackaging of medications.
Performs a range of clerical and/or administrative tasks for the pharmacy as required.
Stock control.
Assists in the orientation of new staff and participate in teaching, training and continuing education programs.
Performs Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution (CDR) under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. To be involved in the continuous safety and performance improvement activities within the service and hospital wide.

Requirements

Diploma in pharmacy from an accredited college.
Basic computer skills.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

General Responsibility

Liaise with ancillary services e.g. engineering and housekeeping department for the general upkeep of the unit.
Liaise with Biomedical Department to ensure that all equipment are always in good functioning order.
Ensure all equipment is updated with the latest plan preventive maintenance (PPM) stickers.
Ensure assigned weekly and monthly checks on all equipment are being carried out.
Participate and contribute ideas at unit meetings towards improvement of the department.
Participate in tracking of quality indicators for continuous improvement.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager of the unit.
